Climate Change Conference, Cancun Style! by Joe Mohr. Used with permission.

We enjoy Joe Mohr’s irreverence; environmentalism needs more of it. He drew this cartoon one week before the Dec. 10, 2010 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Cancun. (See Joel Pett’s take on the 2009 Copenhagen Conference here.) Joe is a talented and committed environmental and political cartoonist, and an excellent illustrator, designer and writer. He is the creator of the Hank D and the Bee comic and is a cartoonist for Yes! magazine, Important Media, Cartoon Movement, Urban Conversion, Natural Papa, EcoChildsPlay, EcoSnobberySux, Elephant Journal and a handful of other websites and publications. He also illustrates for the environmental superhero outfit, Pacha’s Pajamas.

Joe tells us he lives in St. Louis with his wonderful wife and three amazing kids, and hopes you laugh a lot, think a lot, and buy a lot of his books (“ya’ know, for friends, family, pets…”). A good bet is his first book of poetry for kids, Robot+Bike=Kitten (right). For more about Joe and and his work head over to www.poemsofjoems.com. Welcome to EarthDesk, Joe!
