I wondered when the fecklessness of the secrecy-obsessed Obama administration would manifest itself in the environmental arena. Enter Richard Windsor.
Richard Windsor is former EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, or at least he was her secret email alias. On June 4, the Associated Press reported Jackson was just one of a number of Obama political appointees:
. . . using secret government email accounts to conduct official business . . . a practice that complicates agencies’ legal responsibilities to find and turn over emails under public records requests and congressional inquiries.
And it was not always clear whether Jackson’s emails were sent by her or Windsor:
It was later determined that Jackson also used the email address to correspond sometimes with environmentalists outside government and at least in some cases did not correct a misperception among outsiders they were corresponding with a government employee named Richard Windsor.
Unlike other officials, however, Jackson’s alias has a bewildering, you-can’t-make-this-stuff-up spin. On June 3, the Washington Examiner reported:
Among the certificates awarded to “Richard Windsor” was a Nov. 2, 2009 “Certificate of Completion” for “E-mail Records Management.” Jackson had only been appointed by President Obama as EPA’s top executive a few months prior to the certification.
During the ensuing years, however, EPA IT department officials awarded additional certificates to “Richard Windsor,” including three for completion of the agency’s “Scholastica Decentia,” the Certificate for Ethical Behavior, in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
An EPA spokeswoman said “Richard Windsor” was “an everyday, working email account of the administrator to communicate with staff and other government officials.”
Jackson recently announced she will be serving as vice-president for environmental initiatives at Apple.
Update: The Washington Post has reported: “As to the origin of the alias, Richard was the name of Jackson’s dog, and Windsor refers to East Windsor, N.J., where Jackson once lived.”
Don’t forget the other scandal at EPA right now: the agency routinely charges conservative , but not liberal, groups for FOIA fees…

“The question is not are you paranoid, but are you paranoid enough?”
It’s about time you guys started to scrutinize this White House. In my 54 years, this is THE most corrupt Administration ever…Nixon couldn’t hold a candle to Obama and company.
